NOVEMBER 2023 PRAYER BULLETIN: COME UP HITHER

EXPOSTION FOR THE WORD OF THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER 2023

Word for the month: Come up Hither

Text: Luke 5:37 – 39, Revelation 22:17, Revelation 4:1

The month of November is a strategic month in the scheme of God’s work. The Lord intends to do a mighty work in our lives even as TACSFONITES both corporately and individually, and it is important that we maximize this season that is upon us. We are only privileged to be a part of what God is doing at this time, and it would not be good if anyone misuses God’s opportunity over their lives.

The word “come up hither” as revealed from the scripture in John 4:1 is a call to see things that are to come. God wants to reveal deep things for times to come, God wants to take us to a place where when the adversity comes, we would be strong enough to withstand it. God wants to take us deep enough in Him such that the darkness and depravity of our current generation does not overcome us in the thick darkness coming. God wants to make the least among us like David and the house of the Lord as the Angel of the Lord before the Lord. Hence, we need to follow God whole heartedly as He by His spirit takes us up hither.
Follow through the following instructions that accompany the word for the month.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Lay down your old flames: In order to receive something new from God, we are to come hungry, and ‘poor in the spirit’. God does not give grace to those that do not need it; He does not give grace to the proud, He resists them because they have the impression in their hearts that they are already there and really have no need for God’s help or whatever He has to give unto them. But God gives grace to the humble, and humble people are those who despite what they have achieved in times past in God still realize that they need God. Hence, they lay down their old flames to receive a new fire from God.
John notably prophesied about the 7 churches. To our own assessment, he was already a great prophet of God and Agabus in the book of Acts of the Apostles was the only seemingly equal prophet to the category of prophesies of Apostle John. However, His desire for more in God opened Him up to prophecies that would last till the end of time.

2. Draw near unto God: The call upon us this month is one to draw near unto God; For God to call us up hither, we must open our hands and hearts up to Him. He is ever willing and He is only waiting for us to draw near unto Him. The Spirit and the bride says come!

3. Spend more time with God: Another major thing we need to do is to spend more time with God; John heard the voice when He was waiting on God. If he was not there at that time, the call would have passed him by. The secret to coming up hither is to spend more time with God. You can place a minimum number of hours of prayers on yourself, a minimum amount of chapters of the bible you would read daily on yourself, it is so that you can come up hither

4. Yield to the Spirit of God as He places demands on you: Obedience is the final thing we need to be cautious of. To obey is better that sacrifice, and to hearken than a fat of rams. That means obedience is better than fasting and prayers, obedience is better than reading the bible back to back. All these spiritual activities have their own advantage, but can be nullified by a moment of disobedience. Hence, yield to the Spirit as He beckons on you.

To some, they have to study God’s word more, some have to pray more, some have to give more, some have to fellowship with God more, no matter the sacrifice, it is best that you yield to God.
