Giving glory to His name…
The worship session started at 8:51 am led by Sis Faith Akinnwande with the first two songs of worship: “Ogo ogo, hallelujah…” and “Your love is kind…”. The atmosphere was filled with the glory of the Lord as people lifted their hands in worship.
When it comes to joy in the HolyGhost, Tacsfon UI is an embodiment. The joy was being expressed through praising God in dancing as these songs were being sung.
“I serve a living God, everybody knows say na true ooo”…
• “When you see me dance I dance like a winner man ooo”…
• “We lift our hands in the sanctuary, we lift our hands to give you the glory”…
• “Your love has taken over me, Father I depend on you”…
• “Ah eh… this king God, another one no dey oooo”
• “No be say I dey craze, na God I dey praise ooo”.
Then we transitioned to indigenous songs with joy and dancing.
Alagbara bi ara, eya Judah, Kinniun dey eya Judah…
• “Oye ne mema”…
The session ended at 9:12 am with the song “Eze Ebube, see how far you brought me…”

Men ought to pray…
With an already charged atmosphere initiated by the worship session, we continued in the prayer which was led by Sis. Ayodele Ojo. We then sang the song: Ife alailegbe oga ooo…, I will not be silent.” We read from the book of Ephesians 1:8 and prayed that the eyes of our understanding be made enlightened and that our hearts be flooded with light. We then read from the book of Isaiah 9:2 and prayed intensely that we see and that HE is revealed to us. All these were going on while singing the song: Imole de oo, okunkun parada. The prayer session ended at 9:25 a.m. with Bro Oluwaseyi Ogungbola coming up to introduce the next session in the meeting. We further thanked God and the session ended.

Academic Presentation
The Academic Coordinator, Sis Hannah Aluko was being introduced. She took us on a tour by briefly talking about UI. She did not forget to educate us about the grading system of the University of Ibadan; the 4-point grading system. Academic tips were not left out too –Believe you can do it, be punctual to your class, time management, diligence, stress management, know your lecturers, prepare properly, envision how to answer the questions you might come across in your exams, and the most important thing is trust and know the Lord.
It was such an enlightening session!

Bro Emmanuel Isilo, the General Secretary mentioned that the slide would be made available for whoever wants to get it. Then, he invited the Pathfinder Ministry ( Drama Unit).

Drama Ministration
Bro Blessing Bodunde, one of the Pathfinder ministers introduced and charged the congregation prayerfully towards the ministration.

Scene 1
A young man and a lady walk in and out complaining bitterly about their challenges and tiring circumstances in their academics.
Scene 2
Two evil forces in the image of a male and female storm in proclaiming that they are here to further establish their plans and that no one can come to scatter what they have planned and instituted. They further mention that they have been deceiving people with various means, all with the agenda to draw them away from God.
Scene 3
A lady( Abigail) meets up with the young man and the lady from scene one. The two ladies are long-time friends and are happy to see each other.
Scene 4
Abigail with two other students enters speaking among themselves. Abigail is being asked if she will not be going to church since it seems like she goes there every day and how she is excelling academically. She explains that God is her secret and that she is fulfilling the purpose of God in her academics through His grace.
Scene 5
A man enters with the appearance of the Divine clothed in white. He mentions that we have been called to shine as light according to Matt 5:14. He says that those who have been saved should arise for the salvation of others. This scene is a vision for Abigail. She then gives thanks to God for His revelation.
Scene 6
Abigail and Omolola enter with Abigail explaining the revelation to her. With this, Omolola says that God has informed her of what she has to do in the University but she has been carried away. Abigail then goes on to inform her about the forces of darkness which are on campus distracting the children of God in fulfilling the purpose of God on campus. She further quotes Gal 5:16 and tells her that one of the ways to overcome is to walk in the Spirit and be intentional about God. The scene ends while they are praying that they shine as light.

The drama ended by 9:54am.

Choir Ministration
The ministration was led by Bro Caleb Akintoye, an alumnus of the House at about 9:55am.
They ministered the songs
1. Shine as light…
2. Sing of your love… come make a joyful noise
3. This little light of mine..
The last above song started with a rap from Sis Faith Akinwande. The song was responded to with a standing ovation from the church.

The Hymn
The hymn was led by Sis Chiamaka Sunday and was taking from the Redemption Hymnal 47: To God be the glory great things he hath done. The hymn ended 10:05am.

The President, Bro Oluwatimilehin Aderoju came up to introduce the minister. He informed that the day is that of visitation and the day the Lord has made. We sang Mo ti ri re gba oo, hallelujah ee. He asked us to bring out our pens and note pads and take jottings of the sermon. He welcomed the minister: Pastor David Akinnirun.

Your word is a lamp unto my feet…
He started with the song; “Ope loye ooo” “Open the eyes of my heart Lord I want to see you ”. He then prayed before the commencement of message. He enjoined everyone to be seated and then gave thanks to God for the leadership of the House and the privilege given to him to come from time to time to speak to the House. He also asked the congregation to celebrate the alumni in the House, and also the freshers to celebrate themselves.

• You can be around the things of God and not experience God. In everything you do, the first thing you should seek is to experience God. Amid everything including activities, make sure you locate your centre around God.
• In Luke 18, the Pharisees boast about their traditions, but they do not know God. They have a type of righteousness called the righteousness of the Pharisees which is not profitable.
• Prayer: “Lord search my heart”
• The devil can give a man everything God can give EXCEPT “ Life”
• God is saying, “You are a Light.” light in itself is a person which is Jesus. (John 8:12)’ if you are a Light, then you are taking the responsibility and complement of the person of Jesus.
• What made you a Light? You are a Light because the Tree (Jesus) is good. Anything done outside the nature of God is a joke!
• Isa 60:1-2. Jesus came for us to receive the light and shine forth.
• As believers bear light, the unbelievers bear darkness.
• Darkness is those things that pull away a man from light.
• The light you receive is first for your advantage before the world receives it.
• No operation can operate on earth without a body. In the same way, God is looking for a body to reflect Him, the devil also finds a body to use for his purpose (expel darkness).
• It’s possible for a man to be in light but still be entangled in darkness.
• You need to know the labour of Jesus Christ in your life. If you are in the light, walk in the light.
• You have to SHINE and come out of the shell of sin. Allow God to come into your life.
• The foundation of everything is a CONTRITE AND BROKEN HEART.

How can Believers shine as Light?
By our fruit, character, and behaviour.
 Be loving. 1 John 4:7-8
 Be peaceful.
 Smile at someone.
 Greet, even if they don’t greet you.
 Be joyful.

Dress well.
 Be orderly and coordinated.
 Be clean.
 Don’t be the person who wears slippers to class.
 Brothers, while fasting, brush your teeth.
 Shave your armpit when full.
 If you can not afford perfume, a roll-on will go a long way.
 Sisters, dress decently and moderately.
 Take good care of yourself.
 Appear well always.

Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers.
 This even boils down to cooking. Don’t cook together with unbelievers because when they cheat you, you will be constrained under words like, “sebi you are a pastor”, “you are a Christian, and Christians do give.”
 This does not mean that you shouldn’t give out your food when you are willing but do not share the same pot.

Let your words be seasoned with grace. Avoid vulgar words.
 Pursue academic excellence.
 Be an ambassador of Christ. Preach and teach the gospel. 2 Cor 4:3-5.

He made an altar call and urged the congregation to pour out their heart to God even as those who had decided to be in Christ stepped forward.
He led them to confess Christ and pray for them. He asked them to go outside where the counsellors were waiting for them. He then invited the Tacsfon Western Zone Assistant Coordinator, Bro Isaac Leoto to pray for everyone.
He led the congregation in a spirit-filled prayer session.
Prayer: God take away all things leaking away your grace and eternal treasure in me.

Afterwards, he called forward the freshers for prayer. He led the song of thanksgiving; Jehovah, you are the Most High…
The book of Judges 7:16 was read and prayed out as concerning the Freshers. While the prayer was going on, he called upon the Alumni and some Executives to minister to them.

Three things were mentioned in the book of Judges 7:16. these are their meaning according to the prayer.
 Trumpet: prophetic voice.
 Empty pitchers: termination of all emptiness.
 Lamp within the pitchers: the fire of God burning within.

The above session ended at 12: 16pm.
