How can you find a God who’s invisible?
Where can you find a God, whose fullness fills the earth?
Why should I chase after a God who’s surrounded by a host of innumerable angels? How insignificant my voice would be if I called out to Him?
Finding God is never a destination. The same way fellowship with God is not a “once in a while” activity. It’s a cycle that never ends because the fullness of God cannot be exhausted in one or few encounters. This is to tell you that God can be reached and found. Intimacy is a structure built on fellowship, personal fellowship with God.
Where does God come to meet you, personally? Where do you go to meet Him? How does He speak to You? How do you speak to Him? How much of God do you know beyond the encounters of meeting God in a congregation? Do you know how to find Him?
One answer, IN-TI-MA-CY!
Intimacy is getting a personal experience in your pursuit of God. It must be so personal that you have to find out by fellowship how He speaks to you. You know when He calls, and you can attend to His call.
In intimacy, you become one with whom you are intimate with. Intimacy is you saying “come in-to-me, come see all-of-me”.
Song of Songs 2:8 TPT: Listen! I hear my lover’s voice. I know it’s him coming to me— leaping with joy over mountains, skipping in love over the hills that separate us, to come to me.
Intimacy first begins with a desire to love and be loved, a longing from both parties. It cannot be forced. The same way God would not force you into a relationship with Him. All He does is to call out and say “come”. How you respond to that voice depends on your desire to love.
Song of Solomon 1:4 AMP: “Draw me away with you and let us run together! Let the king
bring me into his chambers…”
Once you heed the call to be drawn, the structure that helps to keep you drawn is Fellowship.
This is what Fellowship does to you: When you walk into a room full of light, your whole being is clouded by its radiance and you lose your form, as a person. Because God is not a kind of light, or a God that has light. He is Light.
The longer you stay in Him, you absorb the radiance of the light so much that you become it; the light. This is the only proof that you have been with God. You become Illuminated from within, embodying its essence.
Exodus 34:29 AMP: When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hand, he did not know that the skin of his face was shining [with a unique radiance] because he had been speaking with God.
Again, God can be reached, God can be found. Becoming Him is the answer to all our questions.
Moses had to be veiled to avoid frightening the people of Israel and they could not behold the Glory because of that veil. Now, as we behold Him, we become Him!
Matthew 6:33 AMP: But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.
That scripture doesn’t speak about seeking the activities of the Kingdom.
The kingdom first begins with the King of the Kingdom. Seeking the Kingdom begins with seeking the God of the kingdom. So, if you’re occupied with the activities of the kingdom and you haven’t found the God of the kingdom, all other things cannot be added to you.
This explains why we walk in so many inadequacies, and we have so much that we want. In real sense, all those inadequacies can only find satisfaction in God and not by the activities we do. That is why the fullness of God cannot be exhausted in one meeting.
As you come daily and as you stay, He deals with your weaknesses and inadequacies. One after the other, they begin to fade off because you have stayed so long that you begin to look like God.
So, your shortcomings, weaknesses, lack and wants are supposed to draw you to God. Alright then, let us answer those questions in your heart
Where do I find such invisible God?
The presence of God is housed in a temple so you don’t find Him in the walls of a church only because he doesn’t dwell in temples built by Human hands. Once you are saved, He is inside of You because you have become His temple according to 1 Cor 3:16.
Acts 17:24-25 KJV
[24] God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; [25] neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
How do I become intimate with Him?
Spend time communicating with Him through the Word and in prayers. Constant communication would help keep the fellowship.
Can I actually hear God?
Yes, you can because once you are saved, you have the Spirit of God in you. You hear Him by His Spirit speaking to your spirit.
How do I know when God is speaking to me?
The longer you stay, you become accustomed to His voice. So, you learn by staying.
If you have more questions in your heart, start by taking them to God
Don’t stay in the dark anymore. God can be reached and found. He is calling out to you.
Would you come?
Maranatha!
